Clearaudio Clever Clamp

Simple, yet very effective clamp that fits almost any turntable. A 65 mm diameter plastic disc that slides over and grips the spindle, locking and clamping records into place. Upturned edges on the clamp allow for easy removal after use. There are two distinct advantages to using a record clamp on your turntable. The first is obvious; clamping warped records flat. The second is often overlooked, but sonically far more important. LP records vibrate along with the music as the stylus traces the groove as well as tending to move or bend under the pressure of the arm and cartridge when they are insufficiently supported. A good quality record clamp will not only flatten out warps but also couple the LP tightly to the platter so that internal resonances can be drained away from the stylus - as if the LP is of effectively a much higher thickness and rigidity.

This clamp is not compatible with Rega turntables and some turntables with a short axis.
